Stay connected and subscribe for updates! Area C OCP Update Engagement Survey #2 coming in Summer 2025!
Share your vision for Area C!
The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) has started the process of completing a full-scale update of the South Long Beach (Area C) Official Community Plan (OCP). An OCP establishes a community vision over a short (five year) and long-term (10 to 20 year) period, and influences the neighbourhoods you live in. For example, where parks are located, the types of homes that are built, and how the environment is protected. It’s important that the community vision in an OCP is created with, and supported by, the community.
This survey is one of many opportunities to share your input for the future of your community. It explores the same questions as the March 13 open house and workshop, to ensure that those who could not attend the event can still share their community vision. Input from this survey, and the open house and workshop, will be compiled to create the OCP Vision and Goals. We recognize that the survey asks many long-form questions. Please note that you do not need to answer all of the questions, and any input is greatly appreciated.
Other engagement opportunities include, but are not limited to, open houses, pop-up events, and additional online engagement. More information, as well as project updates, are available here: letsconnectacrd.ca/area-c-ocp.
The survey will be open until the end of the day on March 30, 2025. Paper copies are available at the ACRD office, 3008 Fifth Avenue, Port Alberni.
The personal information collected in this survey is collected in accordance with Section 26 (c, d, e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) for the purposes of consideration regarding the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District Area C Official Community Plan Update Project only. Direct any questions about the collection, use and disclosure of this information to foi@acrd.bc.ca.
