What's the future for Area C?

Draft Area "C" OCP Feedback

The Area “C” Official Community Plan (OCP) Draft is now ready for your feedback! The current Area “C” OCP was adopted in July 2007, which makes it outdated. Updating the OCP is important to ensure its vision and goals remain aligned with current community priorities and future direction.

Since November 2024, the OCP project team has been engaging with community members, First Nations, local community groups, neighbouring local governments, organizations, and the province to ensure the Plan is meeting as many needs as possible.

The ACRD has engaged with Area “C” community members in several ways, including a community barbeque, open houses, surveys, and pop-up events. Community feedback has been gathered and compiled to create the Draft Area C OCP!

The Draft Area “C" OCP outlines the long-term vision for the community and guides future decision-making on development. Read the draft and see how your voices helped to shape the Plan! Your feedback will help us ensure we have the right policies, land-use designations, environmental protections, and much more!

To view the Draft OCP visit: www.letsconnectacrd.ca/area-c-ocp. See Section 2.0 for guidance on how to use the OCP.
