Thank You Port Alberni!

Thank you everyone for an amazing first week for Sort’nGo Organics curbside collection in the City of Port Alberni! As the new service rolls out, we want to share some important reminders:

Please keep all plastics, even those labelled biodegradable or compostable, out of the green bins. Why? Because without strong regulations on compostable labels there’s potential to contaminate the organics stream with microplastics. Green carts should be lined with paper only – newspapers, paper bags, or cardboard.
