Sproat Lake and Area OCP Survey #3
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Draft Sproat Lake and Area OCP over the last 18 months. The OCP is intended to communicate a shared community vision that helps guide the Board of Directors to make decisions around land use, housing, environment, and other topics the community thinks are important to support and protect in your area.
At the Open House on July 7, residents shared that the OCP is too long and that community members would like it to be shortened. Policies currently appearing in the OCP are there as a result of community feedback, so your help is needed to determine which policies are working for community and where further edits or removal are needed.
Following the recent open house, the OCP team have continued work to shorten, simplify, and remove policies. This survey asks for feedback on individual policies within the draft plan that are not expressly required by the Local Government Act.
Please note that you DO NOT need to answer all of the questions. Survey findings will be published and shared with community members on the OCP project page. In accordance with the ACRD Respectful Spaces Bylaw, any comments that are derogatory or specifically name individuals will be removed and will not be considered in the analysis of survey results.
The survey will be open until the end of the day on Monday, September 7th. Paper copies are available at the ACRD office, 3008 Fifth Avenue, Port Alberni.
The personal information collected in this survey is collected in accordance with Section 26 (c, d, e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) for the purposes of consideration regarding the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District Sproat Lake and Area Official Community Plan Update Project only. Direct any questions about the collection, use and disclosure of this information to foi@acrd.bc.ca.
